Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
sqword does not sell your personal information for money, and never has. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and similar U.S. state laws, showing interest-based (personalized) ads can count as "sharing" personal information. You can opt out of that — and of analytics — at any time, directly in the app.
Opt out of personalized ads
In the app, open Profile → Settings and turn Personalized ads off. You'll still see ads (they keep sqword free), but they will be non-personalized — not based on your advertising profile. In the EU/EEA/UK the consent form shown on first launch governs this; the toggle is an additional manual control everywhere.
Opt out of analytics
In Profile → Settings, turn Help improve sqword off to stop sending anonymous usage and crash diagnostics.
Access, deletion, and other rights
You can delete your account (and all associated data) from Profile → Settings → Delete account, or request a copy of your data. For any privacy request, write to henrik@funkar.nu. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.
